Anti-Incumbent vs. Anti-Democrat

We're beginning to see something important happening in the political chattering class.

Those on the left are resigned to the fact that November is not going to be very kind to the Democrats. How bad the election results will be remains to be seen, but they know it will be bad. So we're starting, already, to see some spin.

The claim is, and will continue to be, that the American people are "anti-incumbent" but not anti-Democrats. That is to say they're just fed up with everyone in Washington, and the Democrats' agenda is not the cause of this frustration. There may be a degree of truth to this. However, it is interesting to see lefties somehow trying to get around the fact that theirs is the dominant governing party during this time of frustration. 

Stay tuned, I don't think we've seen the last of these arguments:
