By Reid's Own Standard, His Reelection Is Lost

Monday, April 19, 2010 at 9:49AM Remember when Harry Reid said that the Iraq War was "lost?"
You know, then things turned around rather significantly thanks to a visionary strategy from Gen. Petraeus, an unbelievable effort from our troops, and political courage by President Bush.
Well by Sen. Reid's own standard, his Senate seat is lost. It's done. Back it up, go home, and refund the donors, Harry. In several polls he's been shown to be down significant margains-- even double digits. In fairness, this is before Reid's $1 million ad blitz to "reintroduce" himself to Nevada voters, so it is probable that Reid's deficit will grow to 15-20% after that.
Here's something to chew on-- how are the Democrats going to spin losing the majority leader's seat, a majority leader who by the way won with 60+ percent of the vote last go-round in 2004?
There will be two choices of course: Accept the mistakes and problems with the current administration and Democratic leadership and adjust course, or the ever more popular, name-call, belittle, and stand next to reality yelling "I don't see that!"
Option two seems infinitely more likely.
